Weapons training is conducted on a seminar basis, usually every three months. each weapon is studied over 2-3 seminars. The first seminar usually covers basics, such as the characteristics of the weapons, stances, grips, strikes, blocks, footwork and targets. Seminar one is also used for participants to become familiar with the weapon. Solid (wood or steel) weapons are used in seminar 1.

Above Sparring using safety swords and Bo Staff. All safety weapons are designed and manufactured by Bukido Kai to satisfy our rigorous training and safety standards. Weapons seminars and training sessions cover areas such as tactics, blocks and counter strikes and the self defence applications of the weapons.
